The iPad Pro sports a Surface Pro-rivalling 12.9in screen, complete with an iPad Air-trumping 2732x2048 resolution which Apple claims makes it the sharpest and most pixel-dense iOS device yet, having crammed in 5.6 million pixels. Despite its massive screen, the iPad Pro measures in at just 6.9mm thick and tips the scales at 712g.
Under the hood, the iPad Pro - which iFixit has noted is tricky to repair - packs Apple's newly-outed A9X chip, which the firm promises offers "desktop class performance", speeds 1.8x faster than offered by the A8X chip before, improved GPU performance and better power efficiency.
This top-end processor comes paired with Apple's iOS 9 operating system, equipping the tablet with features including Split View multitasking, Apple's Low Power battery saving mode and an overhauled version of Siri. Naturally, the iPad Pro will also offer apps designed for its Apple Pencil stylus, with firms including Adobe and Microsoft confirmed to be developing exclusive software for the tablet.
Apple has also kitted out the tablet with a four-speaker audio system, boasting that iOS 9 will balance the sound dependant on how you're holding the device.
The iPad Pro also features an 8MP rear-facing camera, a built-in TouchID sensor, support for LTE speeds up to 150Mbps, and an "all day" battery life of 10 hours.
