Regret to learn about below mentioned damages.
We do not have any photos available for this case since obviously no damages have been reported or seen by either subcontractors Chao Praya Terminal or SV Transport.
As per SV’s driver damages occurred during offloading at Adisorn yard, but based on your photos some cargo was already leaking on the truck…. – However, unknown to determine whether this occurred during loading of container at origin, discharging and re-loading by Chao Praya Terminal. The packaging itself also does not look very strong. It might very well be that during manoeuvring pallets in or out of the container that the plastic wrapping / paper bags where torn a bit (if for instance two pallets touched each other), and then the opening became bigger caused due to weight pressure and vibrations during inland haulage.
In the past, Chao Praya River Terminal did not offer CFS (destuffing) services. At that time we always unloaded the containers at SV yard, and never faced any issues. We could also ask private operators like SV to provide photos, but doubt that we can obtain same reliably from Port of Songkhla operator.
Please advise how we should proceed in future. We also intend to send a notice of damage to Chao Praya Terminal, and would appreciate if you could estimate the amount of damage.
Pleased to hear and thank you in advance.
