Ban Nam Phung and Ban Tung Thoeng at Dan Sai District, Loei province are located in the mountainous geography. Ban tung Thoeng has a medium sized dam with a small fountain of water flowing into the dam. Overflow from the dam flows down from the mountains to Phung River. According to potential in the area, micro hydro can be applied as long as there is still a lot of water for generating electricity without operating cost; however the investment cost per generating electrical energy is less than electricity cost from grid connection. This research also has the potential to assist local communities to manage their own alternative energy are as follows: 1. development of hydro potential in the agricultural sector to reduce energy costs, 2. development of community water management, 3. learning to manage a clean and alternative energy self-reliance of the community.
Fig. I. Location of the research project. L= Micro Hydro Power Hydropower, hydraulic power or water power is power that is derived from the force or energy of moving water, which may be harnessed for useful purposes [3]. It can be calculated from Ep =mgH The power output of a hydroelectric plant is given by P=gpQH
The energy of an electricity generator is given by W = (9.81)(lOOO)QHryt The equation to calculate for the flow is

The axial flux (AFPM) permanent magnet machine is an attractive alternative to radial flux (cylindrical shape) machines for hydro and wind turbine applications. The

permanent magnet generator can generate power by passing magnets past a group of coils of wire. The magnetic field surrounds a magnet is call magnetic flux. The axial flux simply means the lines of magnetic flux that passed through the coils of wire, travel along the axis of the turning motion. The other type of magnetic flux in an alternator is called radial flux. The axial flux configuration is amenable to the lowspeed, high-torque operation of a direct drive hydro energy system. Direct drive hydro energy conversion tends to decrease the system size, weight, and noise, while increasing overall efficiency and reliability[5]. The axial flux permanent magnet (AFPM) generator is the component of many do-ityourself hydro turbine projects [6]. While a small permanent magnet, D.C. motor, a very quick and simple project assembly, these motors are becoming very difficult to implement after and quite expensive. The rotor part of an AFPM generator is a unique design due to specialed application and space limitation of generator is consider[7].The unique design to obtain a precision axial length for the machine to make axial flux machines very attractive into applications in which the axial length of the machine is a limiting design parameter. The flux density distribution is approximately sinusoidal in both the radial and circumferential directions so that the flux density profile over a magnet pitch can be thought of as a "sinusoidal hill" described
