My Hobbies and Interests
large view
My baby picture. I still like dolls and stuffed animals.
I have so many interests and hobbies that I never seem to have enough time to get to them all. First of all, I love my family and friends. I have a very large, extended family, and I enjoy spending time with them whenever possible. Second, I love learning. Education, both formal and informal, seems to be one of my hobbies. I love to read, work on puzzles, do counted cross-stitch projects, beading jewelry, and bake, particularly desserts. I like all kinds of music and love to attend musical performances, especially musical theater. I sing in my church choir and in the Bay Area Chorale. I also play the piano, but mostly for my own enjoyment. I love animals and have had pets all my life. I had cats for years and years, but now Joe and I have a little Havanese named Shasta. She's the "Princess" of our lives. I like spending time outdoors in nature, particularly "hunting" birds - with my binoculars. My newest hobby is gardening and it takes up a lot of my time. In cool weather, I spend a lot of time in my yard at home tending to my plants and fighting the weeds in the garden. I also love to travel when I am able. And finally, teaching is my profession, but I love what I do so much that I spend a lot of my free time working to be a better teacher for my students.
