Insoluble,soluble and total non-starch polysaccharide (NSP) contents were determined using the assay procedure (Megazyme TotalDietary Fibre Assay Procedure; Megazyme International Ireland Ltd., Wicklow, Ireland) based on thermostable amylase,protease and amyloglucosidase.For mineral analysis, the samples were wet acid digested with nitric and perchloric acid mixture, and concentrationsof Ca, P, K, Mg and Na were determined by Inductively Coupled Plasma-Optical Emission Spectroscopy (ICP-OES) using aThermo Jarrell Ash IRIS instrument (Thermo Jarrell Ash Corporation, Franklin, MA).
