As we talked on the Skype over the past days, we have collected some information about this issue and analyzed together, our RD colleagues also helped us on this.
The buffer bloat grade has great connection with the current upstream speed while doing the buffer bloat test.
The higher current upstream speed a router gets when testing buffer bloat, the lower grade it will get.
For example, while doing the buffer bloat test for D5 V2, the current upstream speed is 2M, and when doing the buffer bloat test for 8817, the current upstream speed is 1M.
The D5 V2 has higher current upstream speed than 8817 when doing the buffer bloat test, so the D5 V2 will get lower grade on this buffer bloat test.
The several snaps provided by you also proved this .
So we think the customers’ issues didn’t have too much connection with the buffer bloat grade.
As you mentioned , customers suffered the high latency while playing games on EU servers.
If we have already received many feedbacks on this kind of issue, we can investigate on this issue further and put the buffer bloat aside.
Buffer bloat grade is not very meaningful when analyzing this kind of issues.
