In the next year, for the AEC, language will be more important in Thailand. But there are some Thai students who always complain and do not like this language, yet they want to able to speak this language fluently. It is definitely difficult to be good in thing that they do not like. For this reason, we must find a way to make them like English. Firstly, we have to add English to their environment for listening and speaking skill by play English song or film, and try to speak like the actors while translating the meaning in Thai.
For this reason, there is 4PratOLearn which is an online media for education. The best way to learn English is to be accessible anywhere and anytime, so this program is also on Tablet. There are “Lesson” which is the summary of the contents and conversations in many occasions, “Vocabulary” which is separated to categories with picture and sound make it easier to learn, “Music” which is the music of some English stories and “Lab” which is the heart of this project, because it will let students to practice these skills:
1. Listening: With audio transcription, and can be played many times, so the language will be in their minds and brains automatically.
2. Speaking: Listen to the sentence, and repeat it again and again until they speak the same as the audio.
3. Reading: Scan the articles and answers the questions.
4. Writing: Practice vocabulary and write it correctly.
These four skills will have 3 level difficulties: easy, medium and hard. And there also are the simulate situations to make them familiar to English. Students can learn in many ways, there are online media via LMS or study offline by an application on PC, smart phone or tablet (Android). Because learning can be appeared all the times and students will have fun with it, and it will leads to understanding and confidence when they keep practicing the lessons.
The feedback of this project leads to many points, many people are interested. They had fun. And they laughed. These are the good learning atmosphere for students and teachers (1st – 3rd Grade). And the most important thing is they understood the difficult content in the very short time, and can practice anytime, anywhere. And students are always curious and want to know more so that teachers have to make more medias for them.
