As compared to primary forest (FC*)
considered as control, most notable chemical changes have taken
place in these soils. Thus, soils were considered of good quality if
the indicator value was equal to or greater than that of the one
under primary forest (FC*). It will be of mediocre quality if the
indicator value is lower than that of soil under FC*. Inversely for
acid cations such as Al, the soil will be considered of good quality if
their indicator value is lower than or equal to that of soils under
undisturbed forest (FC*) and vice versa.
