I am student nurse Puttima Trakunsri and you can call me “Dew”. I am the fourth years at the Royal Thai Air Force Nursing College. I am proud of study here because it makes the best my future. I love to help people but I not like to see a loss and grief. I need to see happiness, gladness and smile for my patient. I know my future the obstetrical ward is the best because I had the opportunity to train on many wards such as the medical ward, pediatrics ward, surgical ward, emergency ward and obstetric ward which I feel very impressive and happy for the obstetric ward more than another.
The season. I am trained at the obstetric ward. The first time I am very excited, afraid and concern about my practice for a baby. The mother, they are feeling very excited for first time to see their baby and they wish for normally, healthy and grow up every day. Therefore I have to train my skill to delivery very hard and can give advice after the mother delivery about providing information and care and may help new mother learn to care for themselves, information about breastfeeding, care of the child’s umbilical cord, in addition to instruction on personal postpartum care for the mother. Providing this instruction and care can help new parents learn, and adjust to parenthood. Furthermore I have experience about procedure process, suggestion and other skill from my senior nurse
The experience I receive in the obstetric ward. It is a good time at one time not to forget in my life. I learned to lifestyle of nursing, sacrifice their own happiness, patience in the hard task. I was intrigued and impressed and promise to a good nurse in the future and comeback to the obstetric ward again.
