On December 24th, 2011, members of Anonymous had stolen e-mails and credit card data from the website of Strategic Forecasting Inc, a United States-based global security think tank group commonly known as Stratfor. Claiming to have retrieved over 200 gigabytes of data, the hackers criticized Stratfor in a Pastebin statement for being “clueless when it comes to database security,” noting that the passwords were unencrypted and many of them were simply the name of the company.
