Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra will on Sunday afternoon visit flood-hit area in the Northeast. She will fly on a helicopter from Ubon Ratchathani to Khong Chiam district which has been severely hit by flooding. Later in the evening she will visit flood-hit people in Sam Ngam and Pho Prathap Chang districts in Phichit province. The prime minister said she had ordered cabinet members to also visit flood-hit areas and closely watch the flooding situation. As for roads damaged by floods, Transport Minister Sukampol Suwannathat had been instructed to get them repaired as soon as possible. The Budget Bureau would be consulted over allocation of financial assistance to flood victims after the flood damage had been assessed, Ms Yingluck said.
