Dear Colleagues
IMC Group and Unithai Group would like to announce that after 13 years of invaluable contributions to the Group, Khun Arthit Pratoomsuvarn, Co-Managing Director of the Unithai Group, has decided to embark on the next phase of his life and formally retire from active service on 15 January 2016. However, he will continue to contribute to the Group from 16 January 2016 through his role as Chairman of the Advisory Board, Chairman of the Boards of UTSE and CUEL, non-Executive Chairman of the Board of UTSC as well as Director on the Board of UWO.
The Group would like to express its sincere appreciation for his stewardship in leading the growth of Unithai and cultivating a collaborative and positive culture in Unithai. With this solid foundation, Unithai Group will now be able to soar to greater heights. We wish him all the best in his future endeavours and look forward to our new partnership.
With Khun Arthit’s retirement, we would like to announce the appointment of Khun Teerapon Udomkanjananan as Managing Director, Unithai Group, Thailand, with effect from 16 January 2016. In this capacity, he shall report to Khun Ryan Chan, Group Managing Director, IMC Industrial Group. Khun Teerapon shall concurrently continue in his role as MD, UTSE.
Khun Teerapon has more than twenty years of experience in the petroleum and petrochemical industry. He joined Unithai Shipyard & Engineering Ltd (UTSE) - one of key strategic BUs of Unithai Group - in August 2003 as General Manager- Planning & Control before he was rotated to the role of General Manager - Ship Repair in the following year. Khun Teerapon was promoted to Managing Director of UTSE on 1 January 2011. Through the years, he has demonstrated his abilities to lead UTSE in challenging times, and was able to spearhead many new initiatives and deliver good performance for UTSE thereby cementing UTSE’s reputation as a leading player in the industry.
The Group would like to congratulate Khun Teerapon on his appointment as Managing Director, Unithai Group. We hope that everyone in the Group will continue to support him in his new role.
