The influence of hot air-assisted RF treatment on biochemical and physiological properties of wheat and corn seeds was investigated, and hot air-assisted RF treatment effects on fungi inhibition of grain seeds was also studied in this study. The results indicated that high intensity hot air-assisted RF treatments would affect the physiological properties of grain seeds, such as enzyme activity and germination rate.Hot air-assisted RF treatments with proper temperature and time control (60e65 C, 10 min) had no significant influence on the color, seed vigor and germination rate of grain seeds, and even improve the grain seeds enzyme activities (POD,SOD and CAT).Hot air-assisted RF treatment effects on fungi inhibition
was enhanced by increasing the moisture content (water activity) of grain seeds, the results indicated that hot air-assisted RF treatment (65 C, 10 min) reduced Aspergillus flavus by 3 and 4 log scale (CUF/g) in wheat and corn seeds with elevated moisture content (15.0%), respectively
