The WiMAX MAC layer has connection-oriented scheme
to support variety of applications, including data, voice and
multimedia communications. Traffic flow of real-time, nonreal-
time, constant bit rate and variable bit rate can be treated
differentially in WiMAX network including best-effort data
traffic. Therefore, video streaming of WiTV and e-SNG can
be effectively delivered over the WiMAX network of access
points. However, to further meet the requirement of real-time
high-quality videos of LNR over repeater networks and
backbone networks, the following methods are applied on
WiMAX network deployment for the cost-effective LNR
service:
