Dietary RES supplementation had no effect (P N 0.10) on muscle
moisture and glycogen content but resulted into greater (P b 0.05)
crude protein and myoglobin content, decreased (P b 0.05) muscle lactate,
glucose + glucose-6-P, glycolytic potential content (Table 5), LDH
activity and mRNA level (Fig. 1). There was no difference for muscle
chemical composition (Table 5) and LDH activity (Fig. 1) between the
300 and 600 mg/kg RES groups.
