In this paper the simulation of the earthing network is
carried out by means of a method which is based upon
the “Korsunchev similarity approach”. Fig. l(b) shows
the geometrical configuration of the considered
grounding system. It is constituted by a network of
conducting material connected with a certain number
of rods. The grounding system is simulated through
the introduction, at each rod, of a resistance which is a
function of the current circulating in the rods. This
resistance is given by the following relation [ 111:
