Thank you again for our fruitful phone conversation on last Friday. We are currently producing the remaining foil and are still facing inconsistent lab results from QC. We shall continue ordering but it unfortunately it looks like some root cause has not been detected yet. We are now scrutinizing once again all possible parameters on our side. At this moment migration of sealing layer residues onto the Aluminum surface does not seem likely to be the reason of delamination between foil and cardboard. It rather seems that we might have an issue with roll-tilt
transverse direction
I am aware that this problem with flatness occurs e.g. with our type of foils due to unsymmetrical structure + lamination of different materials (metal, PET, co-extruded PE) with different linear expansion coefficient. We would like to ask you to analyze if there is any chance regarding your production process and/or structure of the foil in order to reduce the roll tilt. We were facing the roll-tilt rather with foils of structure 30/15 than 30/12/60. Thus we were assuming that by using similar foil layers, the flatness of your foil is comparable with those of other suppliers. Once we have news from our side, we will let you know.
# Double side printed foil Total 4+1. Our stock of this foil is running out in the near future. Could you please let us know the price and we would also like to go ahead with the artwork. If re-directing the foil in one printing process is not possible we estimate that instead having 2 printing processes instead is an option.
I kindly inform that our Managing Director of MEYER SEALS HQ in Germany, Mr. Ulrich Behre has a plan to be in Bangkok in early week 15 (around 4/5/6 April 2016). We kindly inquire a meeting at this period as we would lie to discuss supply of foils to our HQ as well. In this regard I would like to inform that at the HQ we currently investigate our options regarding the 1-piece induction foils. If you have any update from your side, please let us know. Below I am re-sending the basic structure of the material used for IHS sealing on PE containers.
