The bacteria strain used in the experiment were obtained from
the Colección Española de Cultivos Tipo (CECT). The antimicrobial
activities of the extract were individually tested against a panel of
bacteria strains including: three Gram-positive bacteria such as 910
Listeria innocua, 847 T Brochothrix thermosphacta, 976 Staphylococcus
aureus subsp. aureus and three Gram-negative bacteria such
as 110 T Pseudomonas aeruginosa, 409 Salmonella enterica subsp.
enteric y 45 Escherichia coli.
