More than 150 Chicago-area Starbucks are now equipped with wireless phone charging technology for most Android devices, according to provider Powermat.
As of Thursday, select tables in those cafes have Powermat charging spots, which charge phones placed on them.
The Galaxy 6S and most other Android devices are equipped with wireless charging capabilities; iPhones, however, are not. But as part of its partnership with Israel-based Powermat Technologies, Starbucks will also sell $10 Powermat Rings, devices that allow iPhones to be charged wirelessly.
