I work as part of the Ethical Trading team at Morrisons. We understand you are a potential new supplier in the upcoming Petcare tender, and as both a major retailer and manufacturer, we recognise the responsibility that we share with our suppliers to source products in an ethical manner. We want our customers to be confident that the people who make our products are treated fairly, with respect for human rights and are not exposed to unsafe working conditions. We believe that when ethical standards are in place, this can improve worker wellbeing, productivity and quality, which benefits both our suppliers and our customers.
As part of our Ethical Trading requirements, we require all potential suppliers to provide ethical information about the site or sites you are proposing to use as part of upcoming tender.
Our Ethical Trading Policy, requires new proposed sites to:
· Become a Sedex member and add a site/sites of employment (See attachment no.1)
· Complete an SAQ for your site (See attachment no.2)
· Link to Morrisons Non-Food (S000000066349)on Sedex (See attachment no.4)
Key Information
- It costs £40.32 per site, when joining Sedex as a B Member
- You should allow 48 hours for your registration to be processed
- You should allow one day to complete an SAQ
- Please note, if you do not own the manufacturing site you intend to source from, please support that site in also joining Sedex, adding a site of employment and completing an SAQ before they indirectly link to Morrisons Non-Food
If the proposed site already has an existing ethical audit uploaded onto Sedex, we would encourage you to share this with Morrisons at this stage too.
Please complete the above steps for all sites you intend to use by Friday 23rd October 2015 so we can progress your eligibility into the Morrisons Petcare tender.
Best wishes,
Anna-Marie.
