We are writing further to our e-mail yesterday.
We note your message that there may be some changes about the color of the mark to be filed, so we have to wait for your company’s final decision.
With regard to the forms we enclosed in our previous e-mail dated August 13, 2014, please be informed that the first attachment is for the Deed of Assignment of Summit Auto Management (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (SAM)’s prior registered marks to Sumitomo Corporation (SC), while the second attachment is the Power of Attorney’s form. SC requires to sign both documents and have them notarized by a Notary Public in Japan.
• The assignment matter requires (1) a notarized Deed of Assignment and (2) a notarized Power of Attorney under the name of assignee (in this regard is SC)
• Filing the new application requires only a notarized Power of Attorney
In view of the above, we therefore informed you that one notarized POA is sufficient to be used for both assignment and new application matters, while the notarized Deed of Assignment is a separate document which is also required to smooth out the registration of SC’s new application.
We hope the above is sufficient, but please call me if you have any further questions or concerns. Thank you for your kind attention and cooperation.
