Mango fruit cv. ‘Samar Bahisht Chaunsa’ were harvested at physiological maturity from uniform aged and sized tree, located in the same block at Ali Tareen Farm, Lodhran, Southern Punjab, Pakistan. Fruit were dipped in lime solution (0.5 g/L) to avoid sap burn injury. The fruit were air-dried, packed in soft cardboard trays, pre-cooled at 18 0c and transported to the Postharvest Research and Training Centre, Institute of Horticultural Sciences, University of Agriculture Faisalabad within 18 h of harvest.
