I am from Norway, but I travel a lot, and I own a condo in Bangkok. I have my own small company which makes me quite independent.
I see that lots of people emphasize that they are "simple" and "normal". For me, that sounds very dull and uninteresting. I do not want to be "normal". Average job, average everything? Why? Yes, I do like a simple lifestyle, and I am not (very) materialistic, but my mind is not simple. I am the kind of guy that feels my day was a waste if I didn't learn anything new.
I am extremely tidy and clean, and I could not be with a messy person. As I mentioned I am not very materialistic, but the things I do own and surround myself with must be of good quality. I like art and good design.
I think I am able to appreciate the little things in life. Being with someone that shares my enthusiasm makes me happy. People that don't have an interest in anything makes me sad.
Oh, and just a note to those that have made it their life's goal to "not think too much". This is not me at all. I believe in the opposite:
"I think, therefore I am"
