However, cellulose is neither meltable nor soluble in commonsolvents due to its well-developed hydrogen bonding networkand partial crystalline structure (Cai & Zhang, 2006; Klemm et al.,2005; Kuang, Zhao, Niu, Zhang, & Wang, 2008). Currently, most of regenerated cellulose materials are produced by the traditional viscose process, which requires much energy and causes heavy pol-lution. Therefore, adopting simple, effective and environmentallyfriendly solvent systems is a hot topic in cellulose chemistry.
