Moina macrocopa and Branchinella
thailandensis are both effective in reducing
the biomass of Chlorella. In addition, a
greater density of zooplankton caused a
greater reduction in the chlorophyll a level.
The results were consistent with other
studies that grazing rates were positively
related to zooplankton biomass and
negatively related to food concentration
(Pyr and Pace, 1992).
