1. Time allowed: 2 hours.
2. This is an closed book exam. Textbooks and notes are allowed.
3. The exam is scored out of a total of 60 marks. It is worth 20% of your course
grade.
4. There are two sections, you need to answer BOTH sections to gain full marks.
• Part A has 30 multi-choice questions worth a total of 30 marks.
• Part B has four short answer format questions, worth a total of 30 marks.
5. A Ruler for drawing straight lines should be used in this exam for drawing a
boxplot for one of the questions.
6. Calculators are allowed and might be necessary.
7. You must not talk with any other students during the exam period.
8. Write your name and student ID on every page of your paper (in case the pages
get separated).
9. Cellphones and other electronic devices are not allowed and must be handed
to the exam supervisor five minutes before the start of the exam. If you think
you might receive an emergency call during the exam you may give your phone
to the supervisor notifying the supervisor of your situation and leave it turned
on to receive calls.
10. You may leave the room but only if you need to use a restroom or in case of a
medical emergency, if you need to leave you must notifying the exam supervisor.
