He likes to eat shaved ice with soy flour sprinkled mochi, poured over with condensed milk!
As it is a characteristic of Junho’s to manifest in the summer every year, we thought summer must therefore be nerve-wracking for him, so we asked him about it…….
“If I were to speak the truth, I originally didn’t like summer (laugh). However, after releasing an album like this in summer for the last 3 consecutive years, I’ve received the nickname 'summer guy,’ and it’s thanks to the love from Japanese fans that I’ve been allowed to have a summer tour these past 3 years. Therefore, at some point, summer became the season I look forward to the most.”
We had several questions concerning “summer” for Junho. The first was, “What do you want to do this summer?”
“My head is filled with the tour this summer! However, if I had some time I would want to go skydiving near the beach in Okinawa. I’ve been saying this for 4 years already, but it hasn’t come true……. My dream is to include more extreme sports that I have not yet done someday in an MV!”
Junho talked about going on a summer date with a girl who shares the same interests as him in wanting to go bungee jumping and skydiving. Coincidentally, if he and his girlfriend were to have fun with the “linked coordination” currently popular with andGIRL readers, he said he would casually choose a color for accessories such as just the sneakers being a vivid yellow, or match the belt and the sunglasses, etc.
Next is the food he likes in summer.
“Shaved ice! I’ve liked it since I was a child, and my mom often made me shaved ice with homemade azuki beans. There was also jelly and mochi, but at the time I left out a lot of the mochi. I have now come to like it.”
Junho also said that he’s currently into shaved ice with soy flour sprinkled mochi. He said there’s a popular traditional dessert shop in Korea that’s a favorite of his.
“The ice is fine and doesn’t melt easily, and they put tons of mochi and soy flour on top of the shaved ice. It’s really delicious to pour condensed milk over it and eat it♪ You can even do take out, so you must try it if you go to Korea!”
Now then, what summer songs do you like?
“Of course 'SO GOOD.’ When I make an album I always intensely concentrate on listening to my own songs. Right now (during the time of the interview), since I’m in the final stages of mixing and mastering, I check the album’s songs without waking or sleeping. Then the pattern I’ve had for the last two years is that I unveil it in Japan, and go on tour, by the time I return to Korea the weather has already become cool. For the 3rd year now, I once again tried my hardest to create the best mini album I could, so please anticipate it!”
