The Second Meeting
At the second meeting, I asked the student’s to act out what they have rehearsed and showed their understanding about the text. The classic music was played again accompanied the session. I turned some students to read a portion of the text, imaging the character of the story in particular manner. I determined the parts of reading. Each student only read a certain part as to share the chance of performance. This students reading part might improve the students‟ confidence in imitating the teacher’s performance. Other students might learn how to read the
text from their friends’ performance. Peers may help others to be a model. Peers also can enhance students’ self efficacy (Schunk 2012). After some students’ performances,
I lead the class in various activities involving the story; question and answers, repetition and translation. I asked students to repeat some sentences of the story after me, to give the translation of English sentence or vice versa and asked some questions to find out student’s
understanding about the story. The students might use Bahasa along the session. Then, I will help them to find the synonym in English. The classroom nuance occurred lively and playful.
