(T5); yeast added to the feed (T6) did not alter the effects
of AFB1; yeast administered in the drinking water
(T7) appeared to spare the effect of AF and was not
significantly different from the controls (P < 0.05); but
when yeast was administered in both the drinking water
and the feed (T8), there was not a significant protective
effect. On d 21, a significant decrease in BW gain and
FC was observed in birds fed AFB1 alone (P < 0.05),
and the feed conversion ratio (g of feed/g of gain) was
significantly (P < 0.05) increased by AFB1 intake (T5).
