III. FEATURES AND ADVANTAGES OF "TASK-DRIVEN"
TEACHING METHODS
"Task-driven" teaching methods take task as center, guide
students to gain knowledge in the process of accomplishment
of the task, promote the development of knowledge and skills t,
and improve their initiative and innovation. This method
provides a progressive incremental-refinement approach for
teachers, and is suitable for leaning operational knowledge and
skills. From the students' point of view, "Task-Driven" start
from constructivist theory, it has definite goals and practical
value, and is in line with levels of information technology
education and its practical features, also is a good way to
cultivate students' ability of active learning, independent
analysis and problem solving. In teaching process, teachers can
start teaching from a classic "mission" of driven case, guide
students to complete a series of progressive "tasks" so as to
grasp the clear thinking, methods and knowledge of context. In
task-accomplishment process, teachers should cultivate
students' ability to analyze problem, to solve problem, and to
process information by computer, to develop students’
awareness of innovation, creativity and independent learning.
