Three months after completing the oral presentations students were asked for their feedback on the effectiveness of
the oral presentations as a vehicle for instruction on process safety. Participation in the survey was voluntary and the
responses were anonymous. Using a paper-based survey form students were asked to state the extent to which they agreed or disagreed with a series of statements. On a 5-point Likert scale in which 1 is assigned to the response “Strongly disagree” and 5 is assigned to “Strongly agree”, the responses and the average scores for the students for the questions are presented in Table 2
