Are you neutral on controversial issues? … Are values implicit in the questions
you ask? Are they implied in the words, gestures, or tone of voice with
which you follow a student’s statement? Are you careful to maintain balance
in clarifying or summarising a position or point of view? Are you scrupulous
not to feed into the discussion evidence intended to push the group towards a
view you yourself hold? Do you draw attention by questions to certain parts
or aspects of a piece of evidence which seems to support a viewpoint with
which you agree?
