Use information
When we read books or maybe listening to music, all of those are copyright material. Using a copyright material must be cite to give the author or owner a credit. It also allows reader to know the source of the information that you got from. Giving credit to the owner of the material is an honest way of showing your ethical manner and letting other knows that your idea was made because of the owner. Not citing your work when copying from others is called plagiarism. To avoid doing plagiarism, you should know how to state your research questions in your own words or maybe quote the words you got from another people work. Remember that not every work you do need to be cited, if it is your own original work, then that is fine. But if you took a phrase or quotes from other people, you should cite.
Doing a research without planning is tough and hard to do. There are some strategies that can help you save time and avoid unnecessary frustration. First is to choose your subject. Pick the one that you are interested in most and can cover everything in the time you are given. Next is to narrow your topic down. This is to help you know more about your topic in a certain amount of time and things you have to write down. Next is to find background information. This step help you focus on your topic more and also limit the amount of time spent of your research. Next is formulating a topic statement. It is to help you know your research and also help in organizing information that needs to be found. Next is to find the basis information. This step helps you list the source of your final bibliography. Next is taking notes. This process helps you keep track of the sources you found and also to help you organize your paper. There are two kinds of card you can use to take them, bibliography card and note cards. Next is to avoid plagiarism. As we discuss early, avoiding plagiarism help you and the creditor avoid many problems that might come after if you did not do so. Next is to find extra details. When looking through your information that you have found and sort it out, there might have been some information missing. So it is good to find some extra details to not miss any of the important information. And lastly, is to write your paper because, all of the information have been gathered and is enough for your research.
