There are empirical studies on the relationship between leadership and organizational culture (Block, 2003; Chodkowski; 1999, Ogbonna and Harris, 2000). However,
very little research has looked into the relationship between emotional intelligence of leaders and organizational culture. Herriford‟s (2002) dissertation examined the
relationship between emotional intelligence and hightechnology organizational culture. The study suggested that to realize the full potential of the human spirit, organizations should encourage development of balanced emotional competencies and uphold values that engage the richness of the human experience.
