A simple,rapid,sensitiveandeffectivemethodforthesimultaneousdeterminationoffourendocrine
disrupting compounds(EDCs)(bisphenolA(BPA),bisphenolF(BPF),bisphenolAF(BPAF)andbisphenol
AP (BPAP))inenvironmentwatersamplesbasedonsolid-phasemicroextraction(SPME)coupledwith
high performanceliquidchromatography(HPLC)wasdeveloped.Multi-wallcarbonnanotubes
(MWCNTs)adsorbentsshowedagoodaffinity tothetargetanalytes.Thesecompoundswererapidly
extractedwithin10min.Variousexperimentalparametersthatcouldaffecttheextractionefficiencies
had beeninvestigatedindetail.Undertheoptimumconditions,theenrichmentfactorsofthemethodfor
the targetEDCswerefoundtobe500.Satisfactoryprecisionandaccuracyofthemethodwereobtained
in alowconcentrationrangeof2.0–500.0ngmL1. Themethoddetectionlimitswereintherangeof
0.10–0.30 ngmL1. Thehighpre-concentrationrateandefficiency ofthemethodensureitssuccessful
application inextractionoftraceEDCsfromlargevolumesofenvironmentalwatersamples.The
extractionrecoveriesinrealsamplesrangedfrom85.3%to102.5%withtherelativestandarddeviations
(n¼5) lessthan3.74%.
