As a consequence of legal and institutional contingencies, the executive role focus has evolved differently in different regions. Figure 4.1 is meant to be illustrative only and represents what might be the case given our discussion. The graphs in Figure 4.1 suggest that the administrative role focus dominates in Asia, is moderate in Europe, and is less prominent in America, whereas the managerial focus dominates prominent in Europe, and much less visible in Asia. We believe that it is likely that the leadership role focus is relatively the same across three regions and does not dominate how executives function in of them.
