The Viper Memory Load Verifier (Figure 1-1) system provides organizational level maintenance personnel a greater capability in reducing F-16 maintenance turnaround time. The Viper MLV IA system is designed to be rugged, compact, expandable, and easy to use. One person without difficulty can operate the system. Minimal hardware is required for flightline use, only the Viper MLV IA and cables are required to interface with the supported LRUs and test sets. No external interface adapters are needed to support the operations of the Viper MLV IA system. This provides for ease of use and transportability. The use of a standard laptop computer with the special programmable interfaces as the main component of the Viper MLV IA system makes the system easily expandable and compatible with other systems for additional requirements and future growth. The Viper MLV IA OP is made user-friendly with the use of Graphical User Interface menu structure and user prompts to guide the user through each procedure. Viper and Viper cable assemblies are shipped ready to use except for software upload and cable connections. Backshop use of the Viper is for software upload of selected test equipment and Viper cable testing
