Growth and survival rates at 29°C vs. 33°C
In this experiment, animals weighing 12.0 g were grown under the same salinity and
oxygen conditions described in the previous tests. Water was not exchanged unless quality
was obviously deteriorated to the point of potentially causing mortality.
Three (3) feeding regimes were tested:
Group 1: Water temperature, 29°C; feeding rate, 3% body weight/day
Group 2: Water temperature, 33°C; feeding rate, 3% body weight/day
Group 3: Water temperature, 33°C; feeding rate, 36.5% more than the other two groups
(the result of ad libitum feeding.)
