There were major limitations with this study, including
small convenience sample size, potential selection bias
and not all wounds were cultured and only assumed S.
aureus as the responsible microorganism. Additionally,
there were no controls for conventional therapies used
including antibiotic type, dose and duration of therapy.
Other variables including age and immune function were
also not controlled, and the matched participants had
dissimilar characteristics. These limitations reduce the
significance of the stated results and conclusions
