Magazines
Specific magazine selection was based off of an analysis of the demographic
that reads the magazine including age, gender and household income. Consideration
was also given to magazines that have an electronic component that can be accessed
online or downloaded onto a tablet. Research shows that people who own tablets fall
into our target age group and income level and are more likely to spend money on
magazines to read on their tablets. For our flight we will be using Better Homes &
Gardens, Redbook and Cosmopolitan. These three magazines’ primary readers have
a median household income of more than $50,000 and the majority of readers are
within target age groups. Each issue for these publications has also been digitized
and can be downloaded onto a tablet. See Figures A, B, and C for detailed
information about the demographics reached with each of these publications.
