Regarding the postooperative course, the days until the start of food intake were examined in 74 patients (31-83 years old,an average of 63 years old) who had undergone a free jejunum autograft from 1988 to 1996 at Kurume University. Furthermore, during the postoperative time course, the food that patients could ingest was examined among a normal diet, gruel, and fluids. In addition, the nuber of times and the execution period when dilation bougie was performed to release stenosis of the anal side anastomosis were examined.
