We are waiting for a final delivery confirmation for your PCs to your location. We were going to try December 25th but Kanokwan informed me your offices will be closed on that date. We are now working on a confirmation for the next available date.
Once we have the date we can work on the final schedule plan. Here is a high-level plan for our work.
- PCs delivered to STEC
- Aware will bring 3 PCs back to Aware to prepare the desktop image. We need one PC of each of the three types that you have purchased to test and validate.
- After we create a base image with software we are sure can be imaged correctly then we will bring 2 PCs back to your location for final configuration. The PCs will be SysPrep’d and ready for final configuration, naming and adding to Active Directory.
- The 2 PCs will have your local software added manually (AV, Teamviewer etc.) and we will document the procedure for those installations. You will need to provide guidance on how to install the software correctly for your environment. This document will be used for the later process of deploying at users desks.
- After you have fully tested the PCs (estimated 2 – 3 days for your testing) and are comfortable the image is working correctly we will go back onsite to your location (with a schedule that you choose and confirm) to deploy the remaining PCs. We will bring a portable deployment lab using our own hardware, build server, network switch and cables.
- All PC deployments will need to be completed over a 3 day period. Your staff will be required for all of the data backups and data restores on the deployed systems.
You will provide the PC storage location and an area where we can build the PCs. We will need at least 1 desk (2 meters wide) with a few chairs and power to power 3 computers and our portable lab devices.
