Satun of the South Attractions Tarutao National Park Tarutao National Park ,there are seven large islands , Koh Tarutao, Koh Adang, Koh Rawi, Koh Lipe, Koh Klang, Koh Batuang, and Koh Bitsi. Koh Tarutao is the largest island of the park covers an area of 152 square kilometers. Most of the areas are mountains with a moist evergreen forest home to interesting species of plants and wildlife. There are many bays, both small and large, with beautiful beaches. In the sea, various species of fish, including 4 endangered species of sea turtle, can be seen. The word ‘Tarutao’ was gradually changed from ‘Talotrao’ in Malay, which means having many bays. These islands have been formed into two major groups; namely, Muko Tarutao and Muko Adang - Rawi. The best time for a visit is during November to April.
