Be the first to know when "Tokyo Ghoul season 3" is released.
The second season is an alternative to the events of the manga. Ken Kaneki, who survived in the battle with Yamori, enters the Aogiri Organization. This is seen as quite a controversial action, but Kaneki explains it by the fact that he needs to know more about ghouls and become stronger to protect those who are close to him. CCG investigators don’t leave him alone, so the struggle continues, becoming more violent.
Such is the plot of the second season of this popular series. The doubts of the half-man half-monster, Ken Kaneki, who became a ghoul against his will, attract the attention of a huge number of viewers. How to assume your new entity? How to deal with the monster inside? How to justify and love fellow-sufferers - ghouls? It turns out that these questions are of interest to many.
12 episodes of the second season were released on channel Tokyo MX. Outside of Japan, the series is broadcasted by French Wakanim.tv, Spanish Selecta Visión, and Italian channel PopCorn TV. The series was licensed in the USA, Australia and New Zealand.
The prequel of the series, OVA, will be released in the autumn and winter of 2015 and tell the story about creation of the squad of investigators.
It's difficult to say whether there will be a third season or if authors will only release the prequel. The series is so popular that the release of a sequel would make sense. On the other hand, the manga Tokyo Ghoul: re, which is a continuation of the events of the main story, is also quite controversial. Its main hero, the same Kaneki Ken, looses his memory and becomes a CCG investigator named Haise Sasaki. Here we mainly have a “police” investigation and not a realization of one's nature and the problem of choosing the "dark" or "light" sides. We will find out whether the audience is interested in this if the third season is released. Forecast - the third season will be released in the fall of 2016.
