4. Conclusions
The proposed methodology is used to establish the absorber and receiver dimensions of a Stirling engine coupled to an STSC based on a solar image in the focal plane obtained from comparison of the Monte-Carlo ray tracing method, ray tracing software and a thermograph camera. This methodology can be used in several types of concentrators by modifying the design parameters.
When performing the methodology, the most suitable geometry and dimensions for a receiver were determined in accordance with a solar image in the focal plane. The design parameters from the receiver application and the solar image from the Monte-Carlo ray tracing method are in accordance with the solar image from the ray tracing software and the thermograph camera.
Future work will consist of evaluating the improvement in the efficiency of heat transfer experimentally through the implementation and incorporation of an open circuit for the heat transfer fluid.
