Different multivariate analysis techniques have been applied to the mineral and trace elements to characterize the edible seaweed
(Romarı´s-Hortas et al., 2010; Kumar et al., 2011a) obtaining a good
differentiation of the samples according to the type of seaweeds.
Applying factor analysis, three factors, accounting for 61.4% of the total variance, were chosen because their Eigenvalues were higher
than 1, and therefore, they explain more variance than the original variables.
