The differences between the results obtained by different authors may be determined by factors associated to the cultivation of seeds, such as: varietal characteristics, climate change, agrotechnical and storage conditions as well as factors related to the method of extraction of compounds showing antioxidant activity from the seeds. is well correlated with the total phenolic compound content (correlation coefficient r = 0.6403, p < 0.005) (Table 5).
