“IT’S OVER! I WILL NEVER BE YOURS!” assured (y/n) as she got off the male and headed for the door. However, as she opened the door, the sound of crying stopped her. Looking back, (y/n) was shocked to see Goldie on his knees, covering his face with his hands.
He was muttering something inaudible to (y/n)’s ears, yet (y/n) didn’t want to risk having him snap at her again. Instead, she grabbed the doorknob of the front door and opened the door. At the sound of the opening door hinges, Goldie snapped his gaze towards (y/n).
“PLEASE! DON’T LEAVE ME! I DIDN’T MEAN FOR ALL OF THIS TO HAPPEN!! I JUST WANTED SOMEONE WHO CARES ABOUT ME! I DON’T WANT TO BE ALONE ANYMORE!!” cried Goldie as he reached out his hand in a desperate attempt to stop (y/n) from leaving.
“I don’t want to be alone anymore…” repeated Goldie, softer, as he dropped his head and began to cry again. (Y/n) froze. Her hand was still on the doorknob, but it was slowly slipping from it, and from her only escape.
She turned back to looked at Goldie who was now lying on his stomach and crying into his arms, staining his golden suit with black ooze. (Y/n) felt something fall down her cheek and when she check it, she realized that she was crying…
For him…
She walked up to his fallen figure and knelt down. She hesitantly brought up her hand and began to pat his back.
“Sh… It’s ok, Goldie… I-I,” (y/n) struggled to find the right words. “I-I wouldn’t leave you when you’re in need…?”
Goldie’s crying only worsened when she said that.
“You’re lying!” shouted Goldie, causing (y/n) to retract her hand away from his back. “You said it yourself! ‘You’ll never love me...’”
“I never said I wouldn’t love you,” corrected (y/n). Goldie’s ears perked up at her words. (And yes… he has bear ears on his head.)
“Y-you didn’t?” questioned Goldie as he lifted up his head and looked up at (y/n) with an awed expression. (Y/n) nodded as she looked away from his gaze.
“In all honesty… I will never hate you… But I can’t be with a murderer either!” revealed (y/n) as she snapped her glare at Goldie, who shrunk back.
“I-I know what you mean… But I promise that I never meant for any of this to happen,” began Goldie as he laid his chin on his crossed arms.
“I was the first and original Freddy. Back then there weren’t endoskeletons so I was just an empty suit that someone would wear. It was great while it lasted, but I never really enjoyed the feeling of someone living inside of my suit… That was before 1986… When the first endoskeleton was introduced. They put one inside of my suit, and I was slightly relieved that I didn’t have to have someone inside me. Then came the others. First it was Bonnie, then Chica, and finally Foxy. Everything was fine until they came back with a fifth animatronic…” Goldie mumbled the last part.
“It was Freddy… Wasn’t it?” finished (y/n). Goldie nodded as he continued.
“The kids had a greater liking to him… The workers noticed as well. I wasn’t something very ‘safe’, so they put me into storage, saying they would fix me up and that I would be used again… That never happened. The pizzeria closed the next year and then a new one was opened. They had new animatronics. They were called the ‘Toys’ and were designed to be very kid friendly. I watched them from afar and grew jealous of their popularity… It was 1987 when that man showed up…”
“What man?” questioned (y/n) as she started stroking Goldie’s hair. The male sighed slightly as he got off his stomach and sat down properly on the floor in front of (y/n). (Y/n) didn’t stop with her gesture.
“No one really knew who he was… They only referred to him as ‘The Purple Man’... He snuck into the back, where I was. He ripped out my endoskeleton and every wire and cable that was inside me. He was the first person to use my suit since my creation… I felt so… disgusted. H-he used me to kill those children…. Since that day, Freddy had always been the preferred one. It was always about him... No one remembered me… I was the first… I was the original… Why did they prefer him? A-am I not good enough for them? W-what did I-I do wrong?” said Goldie as he began to tear up again. (Y/n)’s expression softened as she hugged the male.
“Sshh… It’s ok… That’s all over now,” reassured (y/n) as she felt Goldie hold her tight.
“How are you sure about that? Since the day I killed those children, I developed an inner demon. What you would normally call ‘bipolar disorder’. I can’t control its fiery… I don’t want to hurt anyone anymore,” sobbed Goldie as (y/n) patted his back. She smiled slightly as she pulled away from Goldie and looked him straight in his eye sockets.
“I won’t leave you alone. Not ever again. I’ll be by your side with your battle with your inner demon,” said (y/n) as she smiled at Goldie. Goldie’s white pupils returned as his entire body relaxed.
“D-do you mean it?”
(Y/n) nodded as she pulled Goldie in for another hug. Goldie wiped his black tears as he returned the gesture.
“I promise to protect you from danger, even if it means having to protecting you from myself,” vowed Goldie as he held (y/n) close.
“I won’t leave you… I’ll help you get through this, I promise,” replied (y/n).
Goldie smiled as he pulled away from (y/n) and kissed her gently. (Y/n) returned the kiss as she held him. The two departed as they looked at each other with a smile. Goldie helped (y/n) to her feet as the two left the building together.
