The design of a removal system for heavy metals
from the industrial activities has an important interest.
In this way, the present study has been performed to
provide thermodynamic information in designing a
heavy metal recovery process using a natural adsorbent
(kaolin) in the absence and in the presence of HAs added
previously. The adsorption equilibrium isotherms of two
heavy metals (Cu2þ and Cd2þ) on a mixture of HAs with
a commercial available kaolin at 298 K are presented
and compared with the corresponding results in the
absence of HAs.
