3.4.3. Digestive glands compared with eggs
Comparing the ratios of lipids from digestive glands and eggs
(Tables 6 and 7) in NL and PL fractions, PUFA/SFA,Σn−3/Σn−6,
DHA/EPA, and EPA/ARA were significantly lower in digestive glands
(p ≤ 0.05) which could mean a preferential accumulation of PUFA
n−3, DHA and EPA in eggs.
